Social Media Management Intern

We are looking for a creative and organized Social Media Management Intern to help grow Rainforest Connection’s digital presence and communicate our conservation work to audiences worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Help plan, schedule, and publish content across Rainforest Connection’s social media platforms.

• Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity.

• Develop captions, campaign ideas, content calendars, and platform-specific posts.

• Monitor comments, messages, and relevant online conversations.

• Identify trends and opportunities that align with Rainforest Connection’s mission.

• Track content performance and recommend ways to improve engagement and reach.

• Collaborate with the core team on campaigns, announcements, and conservation stories.

Requirements

• Previous social media experience or a strong interest in social media management.

• A portfolio or examples of relevant social media work.

• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.

• Good visual judgment and an understanding of minimalist content.

• Familiarity with major social media platforms, scheduling tools, and basic analytics.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

• An interest in conservation, biodiversity, technology, or environmental storytelling is an advantage.

Internship Details

• Compensation: Unpaid

• Duration: Minimum commitment of six months

• Hours: Part-time, with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week
